October '17 Wrap Up (Bonus! November)

I read a lot of ebooks and manga this month, which was nice. But then I finally decided to put my words into actions and began my Harry Potter reread -- at last

78 - Dead Spots (Scarlett Bernard #1) by Melissa F. Olson - 2.5 stars - 293pp
While there were quite a few things going for this book, a love-triangle that was dull and felt shoe-horned in did not make it a great start to a series.

79 - Hello, Universe by Erin Entrada Kelly - 4 stars - 320pp
An amazing and powerful adventure in friendship with a Filipino protagonist.

80 - Yotsuba&! v. 1 by Kiyohiko Azuma - 3.5 stars  - 224pp
A sweet and quirky series about a child who is almost stupidly naive.

81 - Dragonborn by Maegan Friday - 4 stars - 135pp
Lots of queer people come together to repair a bigoted kingdom when a dragon comes to call.

82 - Sweetness & Lightning v. 1 by Gido Amagakure - 4.5 stars - 184pp
A heartwarming adventure in food and loneliness.

83 - Kiss Him, Not Me 11 by JUNKO - 1 stars - 160pp
84 - Kiss Him, Not Me 12 by JUNKO - 0.5 stars - 160pp
Why am I still reading these books? (One review for each.)

85 -88, 90-94 - His Favorite v 1-9 by Suzuki Tanaka - 2.5 stars - 1,676pp
I probably should have given this series a miss. So crude and not fun.

89 - Scorpio Hates Virgo (Signs of Love #2) by Anyta Sunday - 3.5 - 245pp
A better sequel to the previous in this series. Anyta has found a better trope to use here.

95-96 - Close the Last Door 1 & 2 by Yugi Yamada - 3 stars - 408pp
Better than I expected, but not a high expectation to begin with sets the bar low. Actually did meditate on desire and love, which was nice. Click the link above for a review of both volumes in one.

97 - Scorpio Loops Virgo by Anyta Sunday - 3.5 stars - 11pp
A nice epilogue for the above! (See above review.)

98 - Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by JK Rowling - 4.5 stars - 309pp
More comforting to read than I could have expected. Review probably coming soon.

99 - Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by JK Rowling - 4.5 stars - 341pp
A better book than I remembered. Review probably coming soon.

100 - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by JK Rowling - 5 stars - 435pp
Maybe I'm biased, but there's so much of interest here, and I think this is one of the best books in the series. And it's my 100th read of the year, which I finished on Halloween! Review probably coming soon.

October '17 Stats
Books Read: 23
Pages Read: 4,901

Also, here's my November bonus:

I only finished one book.

101 - Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by JK Rowling - 5 stars - 734pp
This is probably the best book in the series. Review probably coming soon.
